A full, clean and sweet coffee flavor with nuances of honey and citrus fruits. This coffee comes from the Taipiplaya region of Bolivia, in the province of La Paz. The coffee-producing community is located about 240km from Bolivias capital, but the mountainous terrain that surrounds the tropical valleys of Yunga has kept them largely isolated. The infamous "death road", Nor Yungas Road, characterized by steep cliffs, muddy roads and lack of protective barriers, used to be the only route to the area but in 2006 that changed. Cultivation takes place on approximately 300 small family farms and they have recently achieved enormous success in achieving high quality yields and in developing direct relationships with quality oriented customers.
